This inverter charger is designed specifically with RV’s in mind. RV’s can plug into 120 volt or 120/240 volt shore power but they rarely have any 240 volt devices. This MultiPlus can be connected to either service. When 120/240 is available its output will be 120/240. When only 120 volt shore power is available its output will be two legs of 120. When inverting it will be two legs of 120. This may not be as useful a device in a marine application because most boats that have 120/240 volt shore power use 240 volts for big loads. This Multi will not make any 240 volts when inverting,
