Fronius FRO-RSD-QUAD / Fronius Primo Rapid Shut Down Box – Multi

The Fronius Rapid Shutdown Box Quattro solution has been specially developed for the demands of the North American market and is a reliable, easy-to-install solution for quickly disabling PV generators.

As the box is connected directly to the inverter and can be mounted conveniently under the module, it needs neither additional components nor a dedicated power supply. These advantages of our solution mean that the installation is simplified and system costs are slashed.

The low-profile design allows for installation underneath the modules, ensuring a clean system look. Thanks to the NEMA-4X rating, the box is built for severe outdoor conditions. MC4 connectors, spring loaded terminals and generous wiring space make wiring our new generation rapid shutdown box even easier.

The Quattro rapid shutdown has two inputs and two outputs, each handling up to 25 Amp DC and 600 Volt. The input side has MC4 connectors, and by using Y-connectors these can be made to handle 4 input strings (combined into 2 output strings).
